beans
All of the world's cultures have cooked these incredible sources of economical plant-based protein. Rich in fiber, good fats and micro-nutriments, beans are also the darlings of nutritionists. So why not you? You will learn how to make a variety of hot and cold dishes, with different types of seasonings to suit all palates. There will even be beans in our dessert!
what's a guru?
To mark the theatrical release of Yann Gozlan’s film Gourou, Pamela and Derwinn invite you to a discussion centered on a figure that is as fascinating as it is controversial: the guru. Where does this figure come from? What does it mean in India? How and why did the concept transform when it was exported to the West? Drawing on concrete examples, we will work together to identify the warning signs of abusive gurus and reflect on ways to protect ourselves from them.
umami
How do you say "delicious" in Japanese ? Umami ! Discover this unique taste, the foods that contain it, and how to use it to cultivate your taste buds and boost the flavor of your dishes. The little bonus of this class: fun interactive taste tests to train yourself to detect and recognize flavor combinations.
