Born in Barcelona, Marta moved to Paris when she was six years old. She studied sports and dance throughout high school and went on to become a professional dancer, then a choreographer. 

 

Yoga came into her life in 2001, when she was living in Boston and studying at the Alvin Ailey Performing Art School. She then studied various schools of yoga from 2002 to 2016 as a complement to her work as a dancer.

 

She decided to do a yoga teacher training with Olivier Fernandes, a physical therapist and yogi, at Yoga Style. With her Yoga Alliance teaching certificate, earned in 2016, she began teaching yoga alongside dance, which she has taught since 2004.

 

For Marta, the music of the practice is the breath.
